Date Set for 2nd Anniversary Party

Last year’s event was a huge success, and we want to make this year even bigger!  We have a better & bigger location, huge cash prize giveaways, and plenty to raffle off again this year.  There will be a DJ & Live music as well, and weather permitting a bike contest!!
We will also be collecting items for care packages to send to the Troops all night long!
BOTG-NY is presently selling raffles for a drawing to be held on November 7th during our 2nd Annual Anniversary Party at Kodiak’s Sports Bar in Farmingdale.  Raffles are only $50 each and limited to 300 tickets sold. $10,000 will be given away that evening, with a first prize of $5,000 and 17 other cash prizes. Winners need not be present at the drawing.  We started selling early this year so hurry up & contact any member to get yours now before they sell-out, or get your ticket via our online store.
More info will be posted as we get closer to the event, so be sure to sign up for our Weekly Update newsletter to get the latest news on our events!

All funds BOTG-NY raises thru-out the year goes to our Veteran Support Programs which (VSP) include:
1. Supplying Veteran & Blue Star families in need with food, clothing and furniture;
• We maintain our own furniture storage facilities and deliver furniture to Veteran families when they get gov’t assisted housing after living in shelters.
• We collect clothing as well for these families as well as also collect clothing that is taken to the Northport VA for the free thrift store which is available to all Veterans.
• We also maintain our own emergency Veteran food pantry, most Veterans will not ask for help until it is too late.
2. Visits to Veteran & Military Hospitals along with delivering items that one would need while hospitalized. This included monthly visits to the Northport VA PTSD units & quarterly visits to the Military Hospitals down is Bethesda & DC areas.
3. Actively engaging in events where we collect material donations for the Military serving in Harm’s Way in Iraq & Afghanistan then sending care packages to the Troops that no longer might have PX’s available in their area of operation.
4. Creating an awareness of PTSD & Agent Orange and the affects it has on Our Veterans.
5. Coordination of Welcome Home Escorts for active duty Military arriving at Long Island MacArthur Airport.
6. Speaking with families of Active duty Military prior to Service Members returning home and also checking in on Service Members while on leave.
7. Veteran Activity Center: We are currently looking for a building where we can maintain an operations center as well as a safe place for OIF & OEF Veterans, where they can gather and learn to lean on each other, rather than resort to drugs, alcohol and ultimately suicide.
8. Understanding Sacrifice Moving Memorial: We are currently designing a furniture moving trailer that will also act as a memorial to all we have lost since the Wars beginning on 9/11, creating a constant awareness of the cost of Freedom.
9. Veteran Support Vehicle: We are in the process of looking for a 15 passenger van that will assist us in picking up families and Military when returning Home, as well as visits by wounded Warriors and also to assist us with our food & care package programs.

Thank You
