Monday Morning Breifing.

We had an outstanding weekend! Escorted Home 2 Local Heroes this weekend,  Marine Cpl Jose Delgado on Saturday morning & Navy Commander Tim McAllister on Saturday evening. Sunday we had our 3rd Annual Robert Cafici PTSD Awareness Benefit which was a huge success. We raised over $24,000 between donations raffles, and our 50/50 winners all donated their winnings back. We had over 140 baskets and over 100 gift certificates all donated for the auctions.  All donations received on Sunday all go 100% to the cause as an anonymous sponsor paid all costs associated with producing this event.

We want to Thank from the bottom of our hearts Robert Cafici’s parents Connie & Vinny and his brother Chris, as well as all his Family for supporting and standing with us for this event.

Thank you to all the attended this event and donated to the success of it!

Next Saturday we have a busy day already planned. Not only is it the monthly food drive collection for the Veteran Food Pantry, but we will also be picking up 2 truckloads of donated furniture from a local hotel renovation.  There will be food & mattresses being delivered. Maintenance  work going on inside the VAC along with the addressing of care packages and sorting of donations. Anyone wishing to Volunteer please be at the Veteran Activity Center at 0900 hrs. Saturday morning.

(We will be purchasing 7 mattress sets this week, anyone wishing to contribute to this may do so through our online store, sponsorship category)

Please keep in mind all of our Veteran Support Programs and let any Veterans you know learn of them as well.  All support groups, activities and events are  all posted on our website.

We would also like to Thank Girl Scout Service Unit 18 who collected 175 pounds of non perishable foods and delivered to our Veteran Food Pantry Sunday morning. Great Work Girls!!

Thank You!
