Volunteer Work.

May 02, 14 Volunteer Work.

Presently things are starting to slow down a bit, but we will be looking for Volunteers to help with furniture deliveries and pick-up’s for our Veteran Furniture Pantry program on the evening of Wednesday May 7th. Please be able to lift and carry furniture. As of now we have a few stops scheduled and we are always looking for crews with trucks or trailers to assist with this mission. Please meet us at the VAC at 1715 hours. In the future we will be posting to our website event calendar when we need Volunteers for weekday evenings and weekend projects. (we will also have Volunteer work on Wednesday May 14th)

We are starting to plan to do makeovers on a few apartments of Veterans and Families of Veterans, but what we need a few individuals who can paint rooms. Presently we have a small apartment of an OIF/OEF Veteran Mom and her two young sons and also the small apartment of a Mother who lost her OIF Veteran son to PTSD. I would like to get these done in May; again these are small apartments, only 2 rooms each. If you can paint and have the time please email me at FrankB@BootsontheGroundNY.com and let’s see if we can get these done and put smiles on the faces of these 2 Special Ladies.

We are also looking for crews to assist us with food & care package collection drives at local stores and events. If you have a community fundraising idea, let’s get it done, this is all about the Troops, Our Veterans and the Community that stands behind them.

To All Our Volunteers and Our future Volunteers – Thank You!
