On Saturday June 21st we will be having our monthly food drive collection which happens every third Saturday of the month. And we will also be packing and addressing packages to ship to our Troops in Afghanistan.

Volunteers also need to assist us with Project Veteran Support (delivering furniture to our Veterans)

 

Please start collecting Food, Snacks and items and bring them with you on the 21st.

For Veteran Food pantry we can use all foods: canned, boxed, frozen and fresh

Food collection starts at 0930 hrs.

 

Volunteers to assist with Care packages beginning at 1030 hrs. please

 

Volunteers to assist with furniture deliveries and pickups please be at VAC by 0900.

Anyone with a trailer or available truck please bring it along.

 

We are also in need of donations to help with shipping of care packages, our goal is 200 boxes this pack out, which could up to $3000, depending on the APO Addresses. We can also use some hand written letters and cards to include in the packages.

Road Trip to Fort Drum

On Monday eve (June 23rd) we will be riding up to Fort Drum for the 10th Mountains Division Annual Remembrance Ceremony, The ceremony is Tuesday morning at Division HQ. We will be stopping in North Syracuse to bunk for the night, then continuing to Fort Drum in the morning. We will be returning to Long Island Tuesday evening. Anyone interested in riding and attending is welcome. Anyone attending please contact me so we can arrange staging’s based upon rider’s locations. Email me at FrankB@Bootsonthegroundny.com. I will be riding rain or shine. You need to be DOT compliant to enter the base.

Meetings start promptly at 1930 hrs, doors open at 1900 and we are BBQ burgers again both night this week before the meetings.
