10th Mountain Div. Annual Remembrance Ceremony – Road Trip.

Jun 20, 14 10th Mountain Div. Annual Remembrance Ceremony – Road Trip.

We will be attending the Annual Remembrance Ceremony at Fort Drum this year. Not only paying respects to those Soldiers that have given their lives for Our Nation, but also to show our Support of the Gold Star Families that they left behind.

We will be leaving Long Island at appox 1700 hrs. on Monday June 23rd, and returning Tuesday late night.

Anyone who plans to ride please contact me and we will coordinate a convenient staging. As a reminder your bike and riders have to be DOT compliant to enter the Army Base.

Plan is to ride through the evening to North Syracuse, stay the night, then proceed to Fort Drum on Tuesday morning for the ceremony, afterward visit the 1/71 Memorial Stable (which Honors two local Soldiers close to our hearts: Lt Joey Theinert & Pvt Isaac Cortes). After lunch in Watertown and a stop at Bradley’s Military Surplus we will take a partly scenic route back to Long Island while pre-riding back the proposed escort route for when we bring down 1/71 to Shelter Island next month.
