The details:

6th Annual “Run to the VA” in memory Of SSgt John Andrew Thorburn, a Vietnam Veteran who coped and suffered with symptoms of Agent Orange which also deeply affected his family taking the lives of two of his children.

This event is not only a Memorial Run, and an Agent Orange Awareness Event, but also a bonding experience with Veterans that reside at the Nursing Home (Bldg. 92) at the Northport VA medical center on this Father’s Day weekend.

The day starts off at the VAC with breakfast, Our Nations Pledge & Anthem, Prayer and then a Moment of Silence. Then invited speakers talk of Agent Orange, this is followed by a road trip to Calverton National Cemetery where we pay our respects to SSgt John Andrew Thorburn. We then travel to the Northport VA and serve up a BBQ & live music and then enjoy the afternoon with the Veterans that now live at the VA.

Live Music by the Matt Levine Band.

This is a free event, but we are looking for sponsors which allows us to purchase t-shirts which are given free to the residing Veterans and also the cost of food & beverages for the BBQ which feeds hospitalized Veterans, VA Staff and all the attendees. This is a wonderful annual event and the Veterans at the VA look forward to our arrival each Fathers Day weekend.

Sponsorships can be purchased in increments for as low as $75 which gets your business / honorable mention of the back of the event shirt.

Sponsorship can be made at http://www.bootsonthegroundny.com/product/5th-annual-run-to-the-va-event-sponsor/

We will then contact you for your logo information.

Thank You.
