For our annual Christmas event this year we are having a donation drop off at the VAC on Saturday December 19th.

We would be looking for unwrapped toys, Gift cards, Care package items, new items for hospitalized veterans such as sweatpants/ shirts, socks/underwear, etc. and pantry food.

We will have breakfast and live music and there would be not be an entry cost (although donations are always accepted and will be useful for us to help some Veterans through the holidays.

Please start collecting items though, we never have more than enough.

We are also asking that anyone interested in cooking or baking for this event feel free to bring down anything during the hours we are open, we are counting on the community to support this event, any leftover food will be brought to Veterans hospitalized and living at the Northport VA either in wards or homeless shelters on grounds

We will also be collecting donations on Monday (12/14) & Wednesday (12/16) evening between the hours of 1900-2100 hrs


What we’re looking for.

New unwrapped Toys, Food, Gift Cards, Care Package Items, Sweat suits and socks/underwear. New housewares. New bedsheets/linens.


Toys will be split between Veterans (62 kids) we have assisted this year as well as Veterans working with Concerned Living. Toys will also be split with 2 Army Reserve & Recruiting units (34 kids) that weekend to help them provide a better Christmas for their children.

Nonperishable & frozen food will go to our food pantry and two other food pantries we assist that assist veterans.

Gift cards (food stores (King Kullen, Shoprite, stop-n-shop) /Target/Wal-Mart/CVS) will be split up among the families we assist.

Housewares/ linens will go to families we are assisting this holiday season.

New clothing such as sweats, socks, underwear, etc. will be taken to Veteran residing at the Northport VA hospital.
