Help us to help a young Soldier, his nieces and nephew just went through the worst un-imaginable tragedy.

These three young children are now in the custody of their 23 year old uncle who is a Soldier in Massachusetts. The kids, 11 year old girl, 3 year old girl and 10 months old boy watched their mother get murdered by their father. Boots on the Ground NY will be collecting clothing, things for the kids, gift cards, etc. that we will be mailing up to them as stuff comes in.

The Family, between funerals, court, family court, has not been working, and money is tight.

While the family is still settling in and becoming accustom to their new normal we don’t have all the needs of the family but along with his units FRG, we have compiled a list of some of their needs. What we have been doing is collecting gift cards to grocery stores as the family has been out of work with no income since the passing of Ms. Julie Meede, and gift cards to general stores like Wal-Mart or target so the family can purchase items for this children in the upcoming months. But the children need basic things like clothing, shoes and diapers below is the sizes for each child:

Hailey 11 years old: Shirt size small, pants size 3 and shoe size 9

Naliyah 3 Years old- Size 4T for top and bottom and shoe size 9/10

Marcus 10 months old- clothes and shoes 18-24 months diaper size 5

We would like to also collect games, Arts and craft items, books, movies ect for the older children. Also baby proofing items, wipes, Enfamil infant formula and baby feeding item cups plates silver wear as he transitions to a toddler and any other items he may need.

Items can be dropped off to the BOTGNY-VAC Veterans Activity Center on this Wednesday (2/17) night from 6-8:30pm or on Saturday (2/20) from 10:00 Am till 3 PM.

The VAC is located at 2184 Pond Road, Ronkonkoma, NY – 631 615-2200

We will post hours also for next week as well but you can always contact me for a drop off appointment.

We will be shipping out boxes of supplies to his units FRG, who will then get the items to Spc Meede.

If you care to mail us any items, please mail to PO Box 675 Bellport NY, we will place your mail, checks, gifts cars, items, and letters in your envelopes into the boxes we ship to Massachusetts. You can either make the check out to the Meede family, or to BOTGNY if you would like it to be tax-deductible, if that’s the case please put “Spc Meede” in the memo line of the check.
