It’s About Veterans – Tuesday night at the VAC

Apr 25, 16 It’s About Veterans – Tuesday night at the VAC

“Where Veterans Come Together”

This Tuesday night (April 26th) we will be spending some time personally reading through care package requests from our Brothers & Sisters over in the suck and packing some boxes just for them based upon their requests.

Let all your veteran buddies know to come down to the VAC this Tuesday, we can use the extra hands, we’ll be grilling burgers and dogs, it’ll be a good night. Doors will be open by 1800 hrs. this week.

On Tuesday May 3rd, we are doing a Paint Night outing at a local Italian Restaurant in Ronkonkoma

All veterans are invited to join is for this paint and dinner night, completely free for any Vet’s joining us.

A few us did a paint night last month and had a great time and thought it would be a fun night out. We even have a great warped painting for the night chosen. To join us for this night please RSVP at FrankB@BootsontheGroundNY.com and you will be emailed back with all information.

Tuesday night at the VAC is a Veteran community evening.

Either stop in to chat with other Veterans, watch TV, play a game of pool, break bread with us, or assist us as we always have activities that help us accomplish our Veteran outreach missions.

The food and personal care pantries are available all evening.

Some weeks the group may go to outside activities, bowling, movies, sporting events, adventure park, etc. so please check event each week, or call the VAC at leave a message at 631-615-2200

Please help us spread the word to Veterans, there is a place to go.

Anything said in the VAC stays in the VAC & sometimes you just need to be around other Veterans.

Doors open by 1900 hrs., (sometimes earlier)

Chow, snacks, refreshments & food all available so come hungry.

(we are also always appreciative of home cooked meals and snacks being dropped off for this event, for years we have had community members and restaurants donating food for our group activity nights, we ask that chow be dropped off at 6:45 pm, or contact us at info@bootsonthegroundny.com)

This is a Veteran & Service member evening only.

(sorry no spouses, family members, kids, etc.)

The ‘VAC’ (Veteran Activity Center) is located at 2184 Pond Road, Ronkonkoma NY.

Thank you All for supporting our event yesterday at the Main Event, another successful gathering which raised money to keep the VAC & programs going another few more months and while honoring and remembering Robert Cafici and other Veterans that have touched our hearts and given us motivation over the years. And a Thank you to the Cafici Family for sharing Robert’s legacy with us.
