Although the weather tomorrow may not be looking good for escorting there will be a Double Welcome Home Greeting at the Long Island MacArthur Airport tomorrow (July 3rd).
Major Ortiz’s flight land around 1130 hrs. So make sure to be there at LIMA at 1115 hours. This is the Majors third deployment. The Major is from Farmingville.
We have also just heard from the Mother of Specialist Ken Lockard (82nd Airborne) and he is also from returning Home from Afghanistan tomorrow and his plane lands at 1126 hrs. This is his second deployment. Specialist Lockard is from Southampton.
Both the Major & Specialist have been receiving care packages from us (and by us I mean the long island community that supports our CP program) so let’s show them that the support didn’t end with the deployments.
So see you tomorrow July 3rd, at the Long Island MacArthur Airport at no later than 11:15 AM
Bring flags, signs, your family / friends & your patriotism. Schools out bring the kids, take lunch early and bring your co-workers.
I will update on facebook if either of the flights are delayed www.facebook.com/Bootsonthegroundny
Everyone please have a Safe 4th of July weekend.
